Unlike anorexia nervosa, people with bulimia may keep a relatively normal body weight. However, bulimia can lead to serious health issues, including imbalances in body chemicals, stomach problems, and dental damage. Treatment often involves therapy, nutritional counseling, and medical monitoring to address both the physical and psychological aspects of the disorder.
