In Medieval Europe, life was very different. Most people lived in small villages. They worked on farms. People grew food like wheat and vegetables. Some people had animals like cows and chickens. There were also lords and ladies who lived in big houses called castles. Lords owned the land. They needed workers to help them. Workers were called peasants. Peasants worked hard, but they got some food and a place to live. In the town, there were markets. People could buy and sell things. Knights were brave soldiers who protected the land. They wore armor and rode horses. The church was important too. It helped people in their daily lives. People went to church every week. They prayed and sang songs. Life was simple but hard in Medieval Europe.
