He enjoys parties, drinks, and many pleasures. However, his actions start to have consequences. He becomes cruel and selfish. The more selfish he is, the more horrible the painting looks. Dorian's vanity leads him to a dark end. The story shows that caring too much about looks can be dangerous. It teaches us to value kindness and inner beauty over outer beauty.
